Frequently Asked Questions
How much of my donation goes directly to school fees?
We pride ourselves on a “Scholar-First” model. 100% of your donation designated for tuition goes directly to the school accounts of our beneficiaries.
Can I sponsor a specific student?
Yes. While we pool general donations to support our current cohort, we offer “Full Scholarship Sponsorships” where you can be matched with a specific student and receive regular updates on their academic progress.
How do I apply for a Kaki Foundation scholarship?
We do not currently accept individual “walk-in” applications. To ensure we reach the most deserving candidates, we work directly with primary school headteachers in our partner regions to identify students based on KCPE performance and financial need.
What level of education do you support?
Our focus is exclusively on the transition to and completion of High School (Grade 10 through Grade 12). We believe this is the most critical window for breaking the cycle of poverty.
Does the scholarship cover all years of high school?
Yes. Once a student is admitted into the Kaki Foundation program, we commit to supporting them for the full duration of their high school (Grade 10 through 12), provided they maintain their academic standing and discipline.
Which schools can Kaki Scholars attend?
We support students admitted to National, County, and Extra-County schools across Kenya. We believe every child should attend the best school their grades have earned them.
